Privacy policy

This policy explains how Indrus Pty Ltd (“Indrus”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through indrus.ai and when you contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

It covers this website and our enquiries. Information processed through the Indrus platform for a customer is handled under our agreement with that customer.

• When you book a demo or contact us: your name and work email, and a message if you add one. If you came from one of our application pages, we also record which one. On the page that follows you can add your company, role, site type and a phone number.
• When you choose a time to talk: the scheduling service we use (Calendly LLC) receives your name and email and the time you pick.
• When you use the ROI calculator: your answers about your site, such as docks, truck visits, trailers and operating days, with your name, company and work email, and a phone number if you add one.
• When you email us: your email address and what you send.
• When you visit the site: our host records standard request details, including IP address, the page requested, browser type, referring page and time.
• When you use the site: our analytics service, PostHog, records the pages you view, where you arrived from, the links and buttons you click, your approximate location from your IP address, and recordings of how you move through each page. Recordings hide anything you type into forms.
• If you book a demo or ask for an ROI report, we link that site activity to your name, work email, and company, role or site type where you give them.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial details. Please don’t send it to us.

• To reply to your enquiry, and to arrange and run a demo.
• To prepare and send the savings report you ask for, and follow up on it.
• To keep in touch about Indrus where it relates to your enquiry. You can ask us to stop at any time.
• To count visits, understand which pages are useful, improve the site, and keep it running and secure.
• To see which pages and articles led to your enquiry, so we can follow it up in context.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

PostHog stores a random identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local and session storage (their names start with ph_) so it can recognise a returning visit and group the pages you view into a session. Its requests go through indrus.ai. We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t use analytics to advertise to you.

To opt out, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or block cookies for indrus.ai. The site works fully either way.

The site stores one value in your browser’s session storage so the home page introduction plays only once per visit. It is cleared when you close the tab and isn’t used to identify you.

After you send an enquiry, the site also keeps your name, email and site type in session storage for the page that follows, so it can fill in the booking and details forms for you. It stays in your browser, is never put in a web address, and is cleared when you close the tab.

Fonts and images are served from indrus.ai itself, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to font or image services.

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and our business, and only as far as they need it:

• Netlify, Inc., which hosts the site, receives form submissions and provides visit statistics.
• Calendly LLC, which provides the page where you choose a time to talk.
• PostHog, Inc., which provides website analytics and session recordings.
• The providers of our email, document storage and business software.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We limit access to personal information to the people who need it, and we use established providers that encrypt information in transit.

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and for our business relationship with you, then delete or de-identify them.

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@indrus.ai. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your personal information, email hello@indrus.ai with the details. We’ll acknowledge it within five working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
